Goodness, it’s been so long since my last letter. What a terrible friend I am! In truth, I’ve been busy helping Esperanza with her garden, who has managed to grow a pumpkin the size of an ottoman. We’re searching for recipes as we speak, so if you have a firm favorite, do pass it on.
Tiny has asked me to remind you that she’s visiting her dear friends, Stanton and Victor Park. The beaver twins recently moved into a new lodge on Beaver Creek, and apparently she’s been staying up all night, learning all about dam-building, and keeping her teeth sharp! I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Of course this means she won’t be hosting Storytelling Club this week, or the next. I believe Mary Margaret Maguire will be reading a story from her book, “Ordinary Mouse, Extraordinary Dreams.” It should be a hoot – she’s quite the comedienne.
Have a glorious autumn.
C. and I send our love.
